What Evidence Act Section 65A covered
Provides that the contents of electronic records may be proved in accordance with the provisions of Section 65B.
What changed in BSA Section 62
The provision is carried over as BSA Section 62, now pointing to Section 63. BSA Section 61 is a new provision stating that an electronic or digital record shall not be denied admissibility on the ground that it is electronic, and has the same legal effect as other documents.

The BSA applies from 1 July 2024. Under Section 170 of the BSA, an application, trial, inquiry, investigation, proceeding or appeal that was pending immediately before that date continues to be governed by the Indian Evidence Act, 1872.
